A48 MAUVERNAY PARTIAL JUNCTION

Opening access towards Lyon

Until now, vehicles from the Moirans area had to use motorway junctions some distance away (at Voreppe or Rives) in order to get onto the A48 towards Lyon, and vice-versa.

The new Moirans partial junction (No. 11) towards Lyon was commissioned at the end of September 2014. It provides direct access to the A48 motorway to and from the Lyon region and related infrastructure (such as the airport and TGV high-speed train stations), offering time savings and lower fuel consumption.

After one year of works, this partial junction was officially opened on 26 September 2014.
